Hello Patriots! Here is your Miramar Sports Weekly Update:
Tryouts
With the start of the school year, the Fall Sports Season is upon us. Many of the sports are holding interest meetings or tryouts. They include the following:
• Girls Volleyball will be holding tryouts in the Gym on Thursday and Friday, August 26th and 27th from 3pm to 5pm. Contact Coach Bell with any questions.
• Boys Wrestling will be holding an interest meeting on Thursday, August 26th in the Weight Room. Contact Coach Richardson with any questions.
• Boys and Girls Cross-Country will be holding an interest meeting for all new and returning members on Monday, August 30th in front of the concession stand by the track directly after school. Contact Coach Jackson or Coach Smith with any questions.
• Boys and Girls Soccer will be holding tryouts soon. Check back for more information.
• Boys Football has already begun practice for th 2010 season. Contact Coach Cogdell for more information.
Football starts Title Defense
The celebration is over, and the work of being a championship team is at hand. Your Miramar Patriot Football team will begin the 2010 season by playing a fall jamboree game against Deerfield Beach on Friday, August 27th at 7pm. The game will be played at Deerfield Beach High School, and tickets will be available for $5. There are lots of new faces and new names that will become the next headliners for Patriot Football.
So gather family and friends, and make the drive up 95 to watch your Miramar Patriots in their first action of the new season.

With the season approaching, Sports Writers are putting their 2 cents into the discussion that will be played out on Friday nights from now until Christmas: Who is the best team in the State of Florida? The first rankings to come out this year is the Associated Press Football Poll. And the rankings are:
