School of Achievement
The school of Achievement is designed to assist students in building the necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in high school. The school of Achievement focuses on skills necessary to successfully pass the Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test (FCAT) and acquire the 5 credits needed to move from 9th to 10th grade. The school of Achievement provides a personalized learning environment in a transitional setting for students new to Miramar High School. The school utilizes high achieving upperclassmen to mentor students and provide a smaller learning environment within Miramar High School to facilitate a smooth transition for incoming freshmen to high school. The school has its own physical plant within the high school and its own leadership team.

School of Leadership
The academic focus of the School of Leadership is to give the students the opportunity to meet graduation requirements and gain experience and insight into careers in business and technology. Whether students intend on going to college or joining the work force, students graduating from this school will be prepared with the skills necessary for success. Students interested in careers related to Accounting, Office Management, Computer Software design and programming, and Technical Support will find that this school is perfect for them. With hands-on practice and reality based lessons, students are prepared for college, career-technical post-secondary schools and the world of work.

School of Excellence
Students interested in the different career pathways will learn skills related to the tourism industry or the culinary industry. The School of Excellence will provide students the opportunity for advancement in numerous careers to prepare them for college, career-technical post secondary schools and the world of work.
School Of Success
Welcome to School of Success!! This 10th grade small school is designed to provide a quality educational experience that promotes academic excellence, enhances student growth, and prepares students for post secondary schools or the workforce. The rigorous and relevant academic focus is designed to give students the opportunity to not only successfully pass the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT), but to meet all graduation requirements while developing critical thinking skills and receiving personalization instruction from a team of excellent teachers. Ultimately, we hope to connect our students to their future academic and career paths, and prepare them for the rigors of the upper-level high school grades.

Aviation Logo Aviation Magnet
The Aviation Science Magnet Program is unique in Broward County and offers qualified students an unprecedented and exciting opportunity.  The program is designed to prepare students interested in aviation for a variety of post-secondary programs leading to careers in the industry, including commercial pilot, FAA certified mechanic, aviation administration, and more. 
Reading Department Reading Department
Miramar High School Reading Department aims to increase student achievement not only in the area of reading but also across all content areas by teaching research-based comprehension strategies and critical thinking skills. We also provide remediation for striving readers via an intensive and comprehensive reading program.
 

Advanced Placement

The College Board's Advanced Placement Program enables students to pursue college-level studies while in high school. Based on their performance on rigorous AP examinations, students can earn credit, advanced placement, or both, for college.

 

JROTC

The JROTC program has four main goals: instilling citizenship, service to the United States of America , personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment in high school students.
